Tathren Stud was established by Catherine Brown and her Husband Dr Tony Drew Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre at its original location in Cattai in the early 90’s. Due to the expansion of our equine interests, the Glossodia property was purchased in 1999. This property has allowed us to fulfill our vision of providing an excellent teaching and training facility, coupled with breeding successful show horses, racehorses and lovely natured riding school mounts.

TATHREN HANNAH (Hannah)
Sire: Kerebian Troubadour (Ralvon Pilgrim) Dam: Lyndrian Celica

This lovely little 13.3hh (1993) part Arabian mare was the first to fly the Tathren prefix. She achieved her supreme roll of merit status with the AHSA. She even won a dressage horse of the year title, way before pony dressage was fashionable in Australia. I can still remember this little flashy chestnut with all the white lined up against the big plain brown warmbloods – a very funny sight indeed!

She was campaigned very successfully by Joanne Swarbrick who I am ever indebted to for her caring and capable showing of Hannah in her competition years.

Hannah has produced four lovely part Arabian geldings:

TATHREN HALIFAX(2002): By Sicilian Star– see school horses

TATHREN HORATIO(2004): By Schlamby Prince Shamere (Palomino part Arabian)– see show horses

TATHREN HARRISON (2006) . By Gleniph Sovanity. This flashy gelding is proudly owned by Vicki and Lee Stubbs. He is proving to be a real show superstar ; winning many champions both against all ages and types of arabian derivatives. See new page for full show reports."

TATHREN HAMILTON (2007).By Gleniph Sovanity.Another stunning gelding proudly owned by Deb Dickson. We have high hopes for this little man, as will do his older brothers proud once he enters the show ring.
