Nestled on nearly 40 acres in the Hawkesbury Valley, located just 10 minutes from the historical town of Windsor, and an easy hour’s drive from Sydney CBD.

Tathren Stud was established by Catherine Brown and her Husband Dr Tony Drew Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre at its original location in Cattai in the early 90’s. Due to the expansion of our equine interests, the Glossodia property was purchased in 1999. This property has allowed us to fulfill our vision of providing an excellent teaching and training facility, coupled with breeding successful show horses, racehorses and lovely natured riding school mounts.

Anthony Drew, B.V.Sc. (hons) MACVS
Tony graduated from Sydney University in 1987, and then continued at Camden as an intern under Professor David Hutchins in 1988. In 1989, Tony spent the year in racetrack practice in Melbourne before settling at Clarendon in 1990.

Tony completed his membership exams in Equine Internal Medicine in 1992, but has since turned his attention to surgery.

Tony became a partner in the Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre practice in 2002.

Outside of work Tony is kept busy maintaining his property where his wife Catherine runs a riding school.

He also enjoys golf, watching rugby and eating out, as well as following his family's small team of racehorses.
